As testament to all the hard work and dedication put in by all members past and present, FXP has become so big that we now need to register as a charity and adopt a formal PTA structure.

As part of this we need to hold a formal AGM and elect members to the positions of secretary and treasurer.

We invite all parents, carers, guardians and staff who have a vested interest in FXP to attend.

The posts of Secretary and Treasurer are open to all parties with a vested interest in FXP and anyone who wishes to stand for these positions is invited to notify the chair by email (fxp@xpschool.org) no later than 24:00 on October the 23rd 2019.

The format of the AGM will follow a best practice format and an agenda will be published in due course.

The Chair will be available from 17:00 on the day of the meeting, at XP East should anyone have any questions or items they wish to discuss.

Tickets for our eagerly awaited second Ladies Night are now available! Drop your money into one of the offices with your child’s name/crew on & we’ll send out your tickets or you can keep your eyes peeled for one of our FXP Crew selling tickets in the carpark after school.

Our Christmas Craft Fayre on the 15th November will be full of unique and lovely gifts for you to browse, with drinks & refreshments on offer at our FXP mini Bar, you can enjoy some bubbly whilst you choose which well deserved treatment you fancy in our ‘Pop-up pamper parlour’!

Tickets are just £1.50 each and give you free entry to our prize draw!

FXP Family Quiz Night – Friday 27th September 2019

FXP will be holding a quiz night on Friday 27th September 2019 at 6pm.

Wanting to join us at the quiz, but not sure how??

It’s dead simple collect a form from either school (XP or XP east) office or from one of our great volunteers who hang around in the car park. They usually have an orange FXP Badge on.

Fill in your teams details, selecting any dietary requirements.

Return your completed form and £25 per team to either school office by the 19th of September. There can be up to 6 people in a team including children – all ages welcome!

Turn up at 6pm on the 27th of September, try to win and enjoy your pie and peas. Vegetarian option available.

Deadline for submitted forms to either office is Thursday 19th September (as school is closed Friday and Monday to students).

FXP support for DofE

On the 12th of September, it’s the Duke of Edinburgh award evening for Bronze and Silver.

FXP commit every year to providing the funding needed to enable the kids to register to take part in this at the bronze level, this commitment is the largest of all our fundraising needs.

To continue this and to help provide refreshments on the evening we need 3 volunteers, either for the full evening or just for an hour to help set up or clear away.

We are hosting a FAMILY QUIZ NIGHT, with a mix of questions on a variety of subjects covering several eras, so that ALL ages, (pupils, parents, grandparents, aunties, uncles, younger siblings, etc) are able contribute to your team effort.

Get your thinking caps on & your team together.

There are prizes for the best (appropriate) team name and a mixed hamper for the winning team!

Entry forms are available from both school offices and available in the car park after school this week on Wednesday 17th and Thursday 18th October. Please complete and return entry form to school with your £20 team entry fee by Friday 9th November at the latest (first week back after Half Term hols). Good morning, we are in need of help! As you may be aware, FXP traditionally support the students in their POL/COL by providing refreshments, etc.

Next week there are 3 events, (Tue, Wed & Thur), however we are extremely short on volunteers, particularly the Thursday evening.

If we don’t have the support, we can’t support the evening itself. If you can spare any time at all between 5pm-7pm it would be very much appreciated!

We can confirm a closing date of 9am on the 27th APRIL for this competition.

We currently have 134 squares remaining at a cost of £5 a square with all proceeds being used to support the students’ expeditions. If you would like to take part, simply choose a letter A-T and a number 1-10 and send your details/payment in an envelope to the office FAO: FXP.

Top prize is return travel for 4 & car w/cabin to Shetland or Orkney courtesy of Northlink ferries, worth over £700! Other prizes include a suitcase, travel toiletries, Orkney Gin, Whiskey and chocolate. FXP members will be selling squares in the carpark after school once the Easter break has passed as well as at any COL that happen between now and the draw date.
