During our weekly Crew check-in we discovered that Ella recently entered a national poetry-writing competition endorsed by “Young Writers”. The theme of the entries was “Poetry Escape – Future Voices” and from amongst 8000 entries received, Ella’s poem entitled: “My life” was selected to be published in an anthology of young authors’ work. Great work Ella!
Crew Young have also spent time this week on a paper tower challenge, whereby three groups competed against each other to construct the tallest free-standing paper tower in under 20 minutes. They resolved design problems and the winning tower showed strong structural integrity and was as tall as Ella.
