Crew White

                                              Crew White blog

Hello, we’re Elsie, Lola and Ryan, we are Crew White.

Here we are being stewards of our community collecting litter from the school .

This is me Ryan, in XP outdoors I made a stick man, and this is a photo of my miners helmet I have done in art too.

I like football. I am a sporty person.

This is me Lola, my fun fact is I play football for the school team and I also love art too! I have been doing some good work. This is a piece of work I’m proud of from HUMS where I show craftsmanship and quality.

This is me Elsie, a fun fact about me is I’m good at art. Here is a piece of work I’m proud of from HUMS where we identified key people from the miners strike.

Our crew star of the week is Nicole.  She works hard, gets smart, and she is always kind to Crew. Last week she represented our school in cross country and football. Our sporting legend.

XPD Outdoors – Feed the Birds!

At this time of year, it is important to put food and water on a regular basis. In severe weather, feed twice daily if you can: in the morning and in the early afternoon. Birds require high-energy (high-fat) foods during the cold winter weather to maintain their fat reserves to survive the frosty nights. Use only good-quality food and scraps.

Our Outdoors (Indoors) session this week was about understanding the importance of looking after out wildlife during the winter months.

So we made some bird seed apple feeders and cheerio multigrain rings to support our wildlife over the coming weeks.

We grappled and supported each other and produced some awesome feeders!

Some students took them home! It would be great if you could spot and photograph any birds feeding from them in your gardens!

XPD Outdoors Crew! Have fun spotting!

Crew Spencer – Litter Pick

For mindful Monday this week, Crew Spencer have taken their turn litter picking. We really enjoyed acting as stewards of our community. After doing this we circled up to do our notices, wonders and questions, and it became clear there was a running theme… we were all shocked to see the amount of litter we had picked up from our beautiful school.

From this we made pledges on what we had experienced and how we all can do our bit to make our school a cleaner place.
