Brilliant Badminton
Last week we hosted De Warenne School at XP for the opening round of KS4 badminton fixtures. Most of the students who have been attending the after school badminton club represented the school in what was for many the first time in a sporting event.
They played brilliant and we are all so proud of them.
We look forward to host future fixtures and seeing a great turnout at our enrichment clubs
Well done to everyone!!

Farewell Breakfast
Last week we said farewell to one of our Crew members. A great chance to reminisce on our time together and see them off in style. We had an amazing crew session and a lovely breakfast.
It is safe to say there is a great big hole left in crew and they will be missed very much. We wish them all the best for the future and academic success of course, keep in touch!

Remembrance day with the VC trust
C27 have a wonderful relationship with the VC Trust over at Lakeside, they are a very important charity and we will be working with them for years to come on our future expeditions about WW1.
They kindly invited us to a memorial service for remembrance in which we took a few of our students who have being showing great HOWLS recently. We stood among veterans and gave our thanks.
Lest we forget – so important to remember all soldiers, especially those in our locality!
E27 Duke of Edinburgh
Year 9 have started their D of E Bronze award. We started the term with a mission to complete a lap of lakeside in 45 minutes…we have since SMASHED that target. We now manage to complete a full lap during crew time. The kids have done so well that we allowed a visitor to join us last week in crew time walk…Meet Simba, Miss Cades puppy who accompanied us last week!
Crew Malala Mindful Painting
Crew Malala spent a Crew session quietly creating beautiful art in watercolours. We put on some quiet music – pianist Ludovico Einaudi – and losing ourselves in colours and creativity. During our debrief, students said how much they enjoyed the activity and that it’s something they’d like to do on a regular basis.

More PE at XP/XPE
As part of Y10/11 PE we like to offer alternative activities to create a diverse curriculum and offer students the opportunity to engage in new sports and activities which they could participate in outside of school. Within PE lessons this week the students took part in a high energy and engaging boxercise class which included a combination of circuit training and boxing skills. The students where highly engaged and loved participating!! We cant wait to see what’s on offer next.
