On Thursday 22nd of November, our year 7 students visited The Royal Armouries, Leeds as part of their expedition ‘Over the Top’. Students worked to further their ever growing knowledge about The Great War.
During our visit 2 soldiers from WW1 demonstrated how their weapons fired, giving students a glimmer of what it was like to be near the gun fire during the war.
The day was a great success, students worked hard with the tasks they were set. Bringing knowledge back to school to help them go on to answer the guiding question ‘ Does war unite or divide ? ‘
