What a week in PE

We had some sporting success from two XP East students this week who won the Sheffield Hallamshire womens and girls league cup for U12’s. Amazing achievement from the girls. We love sharing our stories at XP Doncaster and are really proud of the their achievements.

This week we have had our last Year 7 netball game at the Year 7 netball tournament, where the students also got to meet England Roses and Manchester Thunder netball player Natalie Metcalf . The team have shown immense progress this season and the girls are starting to find their positions and working together as a team. Well done to our players of the match. We look forward to next season.

Happy Half term from Team, look out for the new enrichment timetable after half term.

Thanks Team PE

Y11 Easter Revision Sessions

Please see attached our in-school study offer for over the Easter break.

XP Live: Jazz at XP!

Another Thursday Night Live event took place last week as XPD hosted a Jazz night as part of the run up to this year’s Festival of Music and Arts to be held on July 11 2025.

Students from XPD rubbed shoulders with and performed alongside the internationally renowned Doncaster Youth Jazz Swing Orchestra and the Doncaster Youth Jazz Collective in a stunning night of live music. Check out some highlights from the evening here.

E29’s Wise Wednesdays: Exploring Laws and Rules

In our Year 9 RSHE Crew curriculum, E29 students have been learning about the importance of laws and rules during Wise Wednesdays. They’ve explored why rules exist, who makes them, and how they apply in relationships, communities, and in contexts like drugs and alcohol. Despite covering some sensitive topics, our Crew norms of respect and compassion have been upheld throughout.

Today, the entire cohort came together to discuss online safety—an important and relevant topic for our students. These sessions are vital in equipping them with the knowledge to make safe and informed decisions online. We’re proud of how our students engage with these discussions and continue to build a respectful, supportive community.

E31 Fieldwork Update

We have had an informative day at the Staffordshire Regiment Museum, exploring WW1 memorabilia and experiencing trench life! Students should hopefully have lots of stories and information to return home and share!

We are currently estimated back at school at 3:30pm, slightly earlier than planned.

Students will be dismissed immediately upon our return, therefore we ask parents to make any necessary changes to their plans.

Should there be any concerns, please email Miss Johnson- [email protected]

Many thanks!
