C28 year 8 Spanish Final Product rolls off the production line!

Last week we took delivery of our C28 year 8 Spanish students’ Final Product. This is a compilation of their sketches of iconic sites in Doncaster – produced by some using the grid method they have practised in art sessions – accompanied by a description of their sketch using Spanish adjectives. Lowri was the first to receive her spiral-bound book, to which she replied: “that’s sick!”

Students were asked for their reactions to becoming accomplished authors:

“It’s cool, innit?” – Danny D
“Slay!” – Sophie
‘i’m in a book!” – Will
¿Vamos a salir? means “Are we going to go out?”. Our Guiding Question was: “dónde nos encontramos?
Will describes Vue Cinema as “large, busy and entertaining” and whilst his original sketch features on the left, his artwork is also reproduced as a watermark on the right. We’ll return to this work next year.
Our booklet also contains a glossary of the places and adjectives chosen by our students
