It’s fantastic to see Crew Da Vinci actively participating in academic crew each morning this week preparing for their mocks. The commitment and dedication from crew to help each other get through this week amazes me.
As they continue to approach their GCSE’s academic crew and learning labs will help strengthen their knowledge and understanding of key subjects. Crew’s attendance as a whole has improved so much this year! As a crew this is something we are proud of and want to continue with improving each term.
Over the past few weeks, Crew Spencer has been hard at work raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support through a daily sit-up challenge. Each day, students completed a set number of sit-ups and gathered sponsorships from family, friends, and our wider community to support this important cause.
We’re excited to share a video below showcasing some of our Crew members in action during the challenge—check out their determination and effort!
Thanks to the generosity of those who donated, we’ve reached an incredible total of £132 for Macmillan Cancer Support so far. A massive thank you to everyone who contributed and supported us along the way!
As we approach half-term, we want to remind everyone about the growing collection of lost property at school. We need to clear everything out before the break, so please take a moment to check if any of these items belong to your child.
You can find pictures of the lost property below—have a look to see if you recognize anything.

Any unclaimed items will be donated to charity after the half-term break, so please act quickly if something looks familiar.
Have you seen these beautiful newly curated areas at Green Top – awesome spaces for students to learn and play in!
A great sporting week at XP Doncaster!
On Monday, students met a few of the Doncaster Rovers first team players and were able to have photos and get autographs from the players. Students asked questions about the life of a professional athlete and the journey that the players have been on playing for different clubs. It was great to hear the players speak about our character traits and how these character traits link to sport.
Then on Tuesday students visited Hill House school to listen to Olympic gold medal GB hockey player Sam Queck. Her experience as an athlete and the ups and downs she has faced really helped our students to understand that if you want something in life you have to work hard for it! Students were able to have a photo and ask questions to Sam at the end – they even held her gold medal.
It’s amazing to see Crew Rashford actively participating in Science Learning Labs. Their commitment to personal growth and education is awsome.
As they approach their GCSEs, this dedication will play a huge role in strengthening their knowledge and deepening their understanding of key subjects. The Learning Labs offer valuable opportunities for focused learning, helping students to refine their skills, address any challenges, and build the confidence needed for success.
Their attendance will undoubtedly support them on their journey toward achieving excellent results.
This year, Crew Dufton are proud to support the British Heart Foundation through a series of fun and exciting events! The British Heart Foundation is a UK charity dedicated to fighting heart and circulatory diseases. It funds research, raises awareness, and provides support, promoting heart health through education and prevention.
We’re hoping to kick things off with a Zumba session in the sports hall, perfect for getting everyone moving while raising awareness for a great cause. Next term, we’ll be hosting a bake sale, offering scrumptious heart shaped treats for everyone to enjoy. Then, as the weather warms up, we’re conducting up for a charity run in the summer term.
We can’t wait to come together for these events and make a positive impact for heart health. We hope to see you there!
This week Crew White hosted a successful Student-Led Conference (SLC) evening, and I couldn’t be more proud of our Crew! It was a fantastic opportunity for them to engage with their parents about their learning journey, focusing on their Habits of Work and Learning (HoWL) and individual pledges for this year.
The evening was filled with inspiring moments as students reflected on their progress, discussing their efforts in sessions and the pledges they’ve set for themselves. It was truly heartwarming to see them take responsibility for their learning, showcasing the maturity and dedication that they’ve developed.
A huge thank you to all the parents who attended! Your support plays an invaluable role in our students’ success. Together, we are fostering an environment where our students can thrive and lead their own educational paths.
As their Crew Leader, it’s incredibly fulfilling to witness such growth and commitment. Here’s to a great year ahead for Crew White!
