It has been a wonderful start to Year 7 for our crew, and we couldn’t be prouder of the way everyone has settled in. The transition to secondary school can feel like a big step, but our crew have shown maturity, positivity, and a real sense of community from day one.
One highlight worth celebrating is the fact that we have had zero conducts and an incredible 210 praises since the start of the year. This is a huge achievement and reflects the consistent effort, kindness, and determination our crew have shown in lessons, around school, and in how they treat each other. These numbers aren’t just statistics – they show the values of XP in action every single day.
To mark this brilliant start, we organised a celebratory game of dodgeball. It was fantastic to see the crew working together, showing great sportsmanship, and (most importantly!) having lots of fun. The energy in the room was amazing, and it was a lovely reminder that celebrations are even better when we share them as a team.
In our crew sessions, we’ve also been focusing on building strong relationships and learning how to support one another. From check-ins to discussions, everyone has been contributing thoughtfully, and it’s clear that trust and respect are growing week by week. These early steps are so important, as they set the foundations for the kind of crew we want to be throughout our XP journey.
A special thank you also goes to the members of our crew who kindly stayed behind to support the Student Showcase Evening. Their maturity, enthusiasm, and willingness to give up their own time to represent our crew and our school was fantastic to see. They were brilliant ambassadors, and we are really grateful for the way they helped make the evening such a success.
Looking ahead, we’re excited to continue strengthening these bonds, celebrating achievements big and small, and tackling challenges together. If the first few weeks are anything to go by, this is going to be a truly special year for our crew.
Here’s to even more praises, even more teamwork, and even more reasons to celebrate in the weeks ahead!
